BUF634 Headphone Amplifier

Some time ago I bought a pair of in ear headphones and I am very pleased with them, but I don’t have a decent headphone amplifier for them at home. So I searched the web and became very interested in building a headphone amplifier BUF634 and OPA627 combination. I decided to use the circuit in [...]

PC Programmable Security System

This project uses the 12F675, it was chosen because of its low cost, A/D convertor and flash memory. This security system was designed to be used in a simple installation with just a hidden switch and not a keyboard. There are several features such as a battery monitor built into the code that also make [...]

USB audio DAC with PCM2704

Introduction I need for my high quality DAC convertor from USB to S/PDIF. I choose PCM2704 circuit, which sent me TI company like sample. Circuit has analog output for headphones and digital S/PDIF output with electrical and optical(TOSLINK) interface. We can use too 3 HID buttons for setting volume and mute. Circuit description Schematics is [...]

Creating Printed Circuit Boards with a INKJET Printer

Creating Printed Circuit Boards with a INKJET Printer When I first started looking into how to etch my own printed circuit boards, every Instructable and tutorial I found used a laser printer and ironed on the pattern in some sort of fashion. I don’t own a laser printer but I do have an inexpensive inkjet [...]

LED Binary Clock

This second version is based around a PIC16F628A running at 4MHz to control the display, it also uses a DS1307 realtime clock chip to do the timekeeping. Every second the DS1307 sends a pulse to the PIC chip, the PIC then reads the internal time from the DS1307 over the I2C bus and then displays [...]

Xerox hopes to print computing smarts on fabric, plastic

Company says its new silver-based ink can be used to print electronic circuitry on everything from flexible e-book screens to pill bottles. The Xerox process actually requires printing three layers on a substrate: a semiconductor, a conductor and a dielectric. The silver ink is the layer that conducts electricity. LED Matrix

Last year in one of my classes we were required to make an ‘artefact’ or something that reflects the interests of the class. Most people make posters and the past two quarters that’s what my class did too. Posters however are static, usually boring, and don’t reflect that fact that everyone in the class is [...]

Midea Air Conditioner Timer

The Midea IR signal uses pulse distance encoding. Each pulse (one “time” unit or 1T) is 21 cycles of a 38KHz carrier burst (about 550µs long). A logic “1″ is a 1T pulse followed by a 3T space and takes 2.25ms to transmit. A logic “0″ is a 1T pulse followed by a 1T space [...]
