Here’s a good tutorial that was written by Luca, and that shows step by step guide to Seeed Studio’s Fusion PCB service. So I’m sure plenty of people will be interested in this service. Why exactly Seeed Studio? Well because you PCB board will look great and professional. Seeed Studio offers a very cheap prices, it starts at $10 for 10 PCBs – $1 per board.

How to create a realistic PCB with Photoshop

When designing PCBs that will be produced professionally (or even if you etch yourself) it is sometimes hard to get a good view of what they will look like.

Most CAD programs view the design in a way that is useful during design but that is not what they will look like in the end. Some provide a view mode or 3D rendering option to get a good idea, but at least CadSoft Eagle does not.

What if you want to view what your design will look like or if you just want a fancy graphic to show off your wonderful PCB? Photoshop comes to the rescue.

This image is created by exporting the layers in Eagle and then processing them further with Photoshop. Madwizard.org have complet tutorial about this.

A homemade digital video inspection!

Did you ever think that your own electronic lab can be turned into the most comfortable working place you can have. Instead of torturing yourself with magnifying glass and light effects , you can use this idea and safely zoom in the smallest electronic parts you have.
This so called “ invention “ can be named as a knd of a microscope which you now can make and have.

All you need is a cheap tripod, video camera, TV monitor, desk lamp, tweezers, and black construction paper.
Many modern electronic parts like SOT-23 transistors have only a couple of millimeters or less to print a unique identifier. It takes far too long to sort hundreds of tiny electronic parts using a magnifying glass, not to mention the feeling to sit and just kill your neck and back from sitting on that table.
Most consumer video cameras have pretty decent macro zoom and focusing capabilities. Attach the video camera to a tripod or choose whatever mounting method works for you.
Each camera model is going to have an optimal distance at which it can zoom in. Some cameras include a macro-focus button which resembles a flower.
So when you set your camera, next thing you need to do is find a goose-neck lamp, but you have to be carefull in choosing the light for this little invention because some lights reflect. This reflection can have influence on your picture making it impossible to see details.
Next you should get a black papered surface which also wont reflect the lights and maybe it will be better to glue it on the table so it wont move. Than come the tweezers, and the best thing is, that you can use any type you can find or already have.

Last thing you need to do is the most important piece for magnification is a computer monitor or in this case a television with a standard NTSC or S-video input.
The larger the monitor the bigger the magnification, of course in this case an old TV with a 10? monitor worked well also.

Parts organization in workshop

Since we have many parts and many drawers a bit more difficult to find the part, the parts were all over the place so I had no more nerve to look for one parts full day , and today I decided to fix it a little bit and to organize drawers.

If you have an old laptop which has stop working,and if lcd display on the laptop is in good condition for $33 you can make to turn this laptop to be an good lcd monitor .

How?

One eBay seller have the cheapest universal plate for LCD monitors the prize is only 33 USD, anyway Jeelabs has all story…

Never dispose of faulty energy-saving bulbs

Several years after they appeared on the market, set as lights in my home.
I noticed that quite often it burns faster electronics, lamps than themselves.
I made a few holes on the body, for better cooling.
Lamps with additional cooling, had more life. Then I started to combine.
Correctly electronics from lamp which blighted associate with lamp where blighted electronics.
This practical advice, unselfishly share with friends electronics.

Advanced electronics can perform change of faulty components in step-down switch electronics:transistors, high-voltage
capacitor, rectifier diodes etc.

Also, do not dispose of faulty energy-saving bulbs I’m sure it will be found and a transistor, capacitor, or some kind of SMD component.
