Thin, light, and bright, Sprint today announced its version of the LG Optimus Black. The 0.36-inch Marquee weighs in at 3.95 ounces and sports a 4-inch 480 x 800 Nova display, where Nova here means “very bright” (700 nits, according to the company). It has a 1Ghz single-core processor, 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery good for a reported 5.5 hours of talk time. The Android 2.3 phone is due out October 2nd for $99.99 (on contract and after the mail-in rebate, of course). We had a chance to try out the phone for a few minutes today and, needless to say, it is as bright as the company boasts.
